Welcome Everyone:
Lauren and I have still been very busy as our 2006 wedding season continues. As much as we love doing this, we are looking forward to the 2006 wedding season to slow down a bit since we've photographed twenty five weddings thus far and have four more to go.
Meanwhile, our bookings for the rapidly approaching 2007 season are filling up quickly, which is one of the many things that we are grateful for. Our clients are really loving what we are providing to them these days which is inspired, unobtrusive, natural, and beautiful wedding photojournalism, along with creatively designed fine-art wedding albums, Birchbook custom designer proof books, parent albums, and much more.
And speaking of fine-art designer albums, here is an example of the cover of one of our recently created designer albums . These albums are truly beautiful and our clients are particularly loving these. Below are a few pages of the album (including the cover) so you can get a feel for how we design them (this is what is often referred to as a "magazine-style" or "coffee-table"-style wedding album design. By the way, that's Kate and Joe (both Cornell grads) on the cover enjoying their first dance at the Statler Hotel.
This is the front and rear covers, also including the spine design (above).
One of the many great things about working as a passionate creative team is that while I'm shooting from a high vantage point, Lauren is always somewhere else getting the action from an entirely different (and usually amazing) perspective (as in the images above).
Also, here is an example of some of our recently delivered Birchbook proofbooks, which are 8.5 x 11", are hardbound, come in seven different colors, and usually contain 500-700 of our best images:
On another note, Lauren and I recently photographed a truly beautiful wedding at Cornell University recently for Karen and Mark, and are noticing that we are increasingly being commissioned to photograph a greater number of weddings that are truly unique, interesting, and beautiful (and that goes for the calibre of our clients as well), which we are also thankful for and very happy about.
Karen and Mark are both Cornell graduates (as are approximately 70% of our clients), and interestingly Karen and Mark met each other in the "stacks" of the Cornell Law School Library.
This being the case, Karen really wanted us to go with them to the Cornell Law School Library to create some photographs of the lovely couple (a beautiful, classic, "Ivy League"-style space with Gothic-inspired architecture, very high ceilings, and many law school students working like law school students do.
Hence, the four of us snuck in with the help of an exiting student (since they keep the Law School locked on weekends), and made our way to the library, where Lauren and I had not yet been. The first thing Lauren noticed in this amazing space was an iron staircase and balcony in a corner of the library space, which screamed, "Romeo and Juliet"! So we asked Karen and Mark if they wouldn't mind going up to the balcony for a few photos.
Needless to say, the five minutes we spent there certainly got the attention of all of the law school students, who ended up giving Karen, Mark, Lauren, and myself a standing ovation while snapping photos of the stunning bride with their cell phone cameras. We really like to do spontaneous things like that creatively since that willingness to be spontaneous, etc. is exactly the sort of thing that makes for amazing imagery! The law school visit was one of the many highlights of this auspicious and beautiful wedding. And hence, here are a few teaser images from that fateful day (enjoy!).

Awesome post Bob! The albums and Proof books look fantastic, and the images are beautiful. It is great to see you going full speed ahead and, as always, I like the direction you are going in.
