Our 2010 wedding photography season is now fully underway, and we are once again truly grateful for all of our excellent clients, the natural beauty of this area, and the spectacular weather! Lauren and I are keeping happily occupied photographing weddings, engagement sessions, and other events, post-processing lots of recently created imagery, designing albums, and busily planning the details of several upcoming weddings in concert with our clients.
All of our clients are truly unique and excellent people, and we are fortunate to be chosen to photograph many exceptionally unique weddings. One in particular that I've been recently planning for is K-T and Jay's wedding at Cornell which will take place on June 26th. K-T and Jay are both working biotechnology-related scientists who really love their jobs in this exciting field.
Since K-T and Jay are both passionate biotechnology scientists (as will be many of their guests), much of their wedding reception is going to be biotechnology themed. This means that the reception will have plenty of lab glassware, lab coats, giant microbes, etc. It also means that all guests will be able to extract their own DNA for subsequent analysis during the wedding reception.
Additionally, I've been happily working with K-T on preparing a "photo-booth"-like set-up at the wedding reception whereby guests will be able to go to a biotechnology-themed set where they will be able to put on lab coats, mad scientist wigs, safety goggles, etc. and photograph themselves in front of a giant DNA helix background. This morning I created nine different variations of the DNA helix image for potential use as a background. Here's one of them...
I'll be providing the camera/lighting set-up for this, much of the set design, and instructions on how to use the camera setup for maximum effect.Images from this will serve as a "digital guest book" for K-T and Jay. and all guests will receive prints as a keepsake from the reception. This is sure to be a fun and memorable wedding, and Lauren and I are honored to be K-T and Jay's the chosen photographers!
That wedding is going to be so fun! I can't wait to see the photos of it!
