It's been a good whilie since my last blog entry, so I thought I would provide you with an update now.
I'll be leaving Ithaca bright and early tomorrow morning with my good friend Shai Eynav for New York City to prepare our trade show booth (#965) for the 2010 Photo Plus Expo at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. For the past year, I've been helping Shai to market his brilliant invention, the "Spider Holster" strapless camera carrying system. Please feel free to stop by booth 965 to say hello if you happen to be attending the Photoplus Expo.
Shai, Frank Dimeo, George Canon, a few friends from Ancient Wisdom Productions, and myself originally introduced the product for the first time at last year's Photoplus Expo (as well as the Wedding and Portrait Photographer's international Convention in Las Vegas this past February), and so far the product has been received very enthusiastically by the professional photography market.
Beginning Thursday, we'll officially be introducing a beautifully designed, lighter weight, "prosumer" version of the product that we're calling "The Black Widow" which will be selling for less than half of our professional verson ($50. vs $110.).
The Photoplus Expo runs from Wednesday through Saturday, and the trade show runs from Thursday through Saturday. Here are a few photos of the new version of the Black Widow version of the product:
Note that the Black Widow may be worn with a newer, lighter velcro-attached belt that comes with the unit as above, or with your own belt as shown below.
We will also be exhibiting at the Mystic VI Photography Seminars event in Mystic Connecticut on January 6th-9th, 2011 at the Mystic, CT Marriott, and at the 2011 WPPI Convention in Las Vegas in February.
On one last note, here are a few memorable images that I created during a fabulous Indian pre-wedding Mehndi celebration (which was definitely fascinating and great to photograph!). We hope that you enjoy them!
